Bye Bye Hannah

I have to say bye-bye to one of my favorite pals this week, Hannah. Of my two doggy friends, she's my favorite, but unfortunately she's kind of old and has become unpredictable with kids and babies, even though she slept by my crib to protect me for the first year of my life. Hannah will be happier in her new home in Colorado though - plus she gets to go on a plane to get there! We're all pretty sad about it but it's better for everyone in the long run. Mom and Dad try to keep us sperated to be safe, so I don't have many pictures with Hannah...but here's one from the other day.

To Miss Hannah - you will be sorely missed in our household. We'll all remember how you wag your little butt every time you're happy to see us, how you plop your head down on our laps to be pet, and how you lick our fingertips when we walk past you. You've been a wonderful part of our family and you'll never be forgotten in our hearts. Bye-Bye Hannah...

Bye Hannah- I am sitting here in tears because I know she will be greatly missed and feel very sad. I even fell in love with her a couple of months ago when I met her but I know that you guys had to do what's best for her and Little Jack:)

Goodbye, Hannah...I hope you are happy in your new home. (((Hugs))) for you guys - I know she was part of the family and this must be difficult.

Hannah could never have found a more loving home for the early part of her life. Now you have shown your love for her again by working so hard to know she will continue to be in loving surroundings. I can't imagine how difficult it's been - but I do know you're a wonderful Mom to Jack as well as Hannah.

Hannah update...
Hannah is doing very well. She once again has a big fat lazy Golden Retriever, Baxter, to pick on and to clean (his ears and face get cleaned by her several times a day). She also spends time with Ripkin dog when I travel (I'm typing this from Indianapolis), and they have a very special bond. Ripkin usually acts his old age, but the second he sees Hannah he acts like a puppy again. Hannah has never really stopped acting like a puppy, so it works out well.
Last week she and Baxter went to the doggie boutique and got some very nice treats and bones, while I was left gasping at the bill. They enjoyed it though, so we'll go back soon.
While Hannah will always miss her mom, Hannah fans around the world can take comfort in the fact that she continues to be well cared for.
